The Gator Machete allows for both, chopping and sawing. It has a 15-inch fine-edge blade on one side and an 18-inch high performance saw blade on the other. It’s forged of high-carbon stainless steel. The handle is covered with a Gator grip rubberised layer for comfort and control, enabling a sure grip in any condition. It comes sheathed in a nylon case for secure carry. Made for use in the wilderness, as well as the backyard, it’s a dual-purpose, lightweight machete made for clearing brush, vine chopping, and sawing branch limbs.

I bought this for the farm and after a good sharpen is a great tool to have. As part of the property is bush, I sometimes have to get to some of the isolated dams for maintenance. The biggest problem is new growth of black-wood and tee tree, both in plague proportions. Instead of a brush cutter I can easily cut my path and do my job. Good exercise too.
