The LMF II Infantry survival knife is a rugged and versatile fixed blade knife. The over-moulded handle successfully limits blistering. There is complete separation between the tang and butt cap, so the knife absorbs the shocks from hammering and prevents the shocks of electricity. Smartly situated grooves and lashing holes let the LMF II convert to a spear. The low-profile sheath facilitates movement, limits noise, works for parachuting, and attaches to a belt or MOLLE vest. The patented, integrated sharpener means edge retention in the field.

I bought this knife as a gift for my son in the ADF…so he hasn’t got it yet(!) But I’m sure he’ll welcome the upgrade from what he currently has. But getting it delivered in a timely way during the COVID lockdown and the pre-Xmas rush is a credit to the service and customer focus from Elite Outdoor Gear. Just spectacular!

Gerber include it as the knife in their military only weapons and tools pack. That should tell you something.
The blade feels solid, it’s bloody sharp, which wouldn’t matter because the sheeth includes a sharpener. As for the sheeth, you can ise it in every way imaginable: belt, hip, calf, molle, you name it.
They designed it to enable serviceman to escape downed aircraft, I believe it’s actually possible with this knife!
