Edward Michael “Bear” Grylls is a man who has always had a passion for the outdoors. After crushing three vertebrae in a freefall parachuting accident in 1996, he directed his efforts, for the next year, to recovering in order to achieve his childhood dream, climbing Mount Everest. In 1998, Bear Grylls achieved his dream and entered the Guinness Book of Records for being the youngest Briton to climb Mount Everest, at age 23. Since then, he has become a motivational speaker, author and TV show host, as well as leading many expeditions around the world.
In doing so, he has shared his enthusiasm with the world, encouraging others push the limits, overcome challenges and strive for their dreams.
