Hydration

When it comes to hydration there are a couple of ways to go. From carrying to sterilising water its important to know what is needed where you are. Water is one of the most important resources we need in everyday life not to mention if you are out in a survival situation or on a day hike you need water to live.

Water Bladder

Water bladders are a great way to carry a large amount of water in one place. Perfect for hiking long or short distances, camping and running. Being able to carry a large amount of water that comes with a valve system to access it is ideal to keep you going for long periods of time with minimal wasted storage. With the recent advances by a company called Geigerrig they have revolutionised the water bladder game. With there patented hydration system works by blowing up a separate air pocket at the back with a hand pump to make the water pressurised. This eliminates having to suck on the bite valve you just have to squeeze and the water flows out. This is a far superior way of hydration in so many ways. Having the water pressurised and flowing out means there is no chance of any backwash, which in turn mean less germs/ no germs in your pipes. This means that you are now able to use you water in so many different ways from sharing your water with friends and even you pooch, cleaning hands and cuts or wounds, to filling up containers or cooling yourself down the possibilities are endless. Another advantage of this system is you are able to attach a filter system easily to the drinking end, which will filter out 99.9% of bacteria in the water.

The idea that you can eliminate 99.9% of bacteria and harmful viruses that maybe in your water in fewer than 2 minutes just by using light is just astounding.
