In its second generation, the flashlight has undergone significant changes in usability. The manufacturer has incorporated a unique rotary switch and an electronic switch, allowing for easy management of 16 light settings. This functionality enables convenient one-handed operation and instant activation of the desired lighting intensity for any given situation. Placed on the side of the flashlight, below the thumb, the switches ensure intuitive and convenient adjustment of light parameters.
The Fenix LR40R V2.0 also features a switch lock mechanism, preventing accidental activation during transportation. Simply turn the bezel to the Lock position. The flashlight includes an intelligent proximity sensor that detects when the head is too close to an illuminated object. When the distance to an object, wall, etc., is reduced to less than 60mm and remains illuminated for 1.8 seconds, the flashlight automatically reduces the brightness level to eco mode. Upon moving the flashlight head away from the object, the controller promptly restores the previous brightness level.
Adding to its convenience, the flashlight includes an LED indicator that displays the battery charge level with a single click of any switch (while the flashlight is off).
The Fenix LR40R V2.0 is powered by a robust 15,000mAh battery pack (3x5000mAh), providing the flashlight with a working time of over a week in eco mode (10 lumens) or 150 minutes in turbo mode (15,000 lumens). With the USB-C port and support for QC2.0 fast charging protocols, the 15,000mAh battery can be fully charged in just four hours.
Furthermore, the flashlight includes a USB-C socket, allowing the Fenix LR40R V2.0 to function as a power bank, enabling quick charging of smartphones and other devices. The sockets are protected from moisture, rain, and dust by sealed rubber plugs.
To ensure safety and proper operation, the Fenix LR40R V2.0 incorporates overheating protection, reverse polarity protection, and low battery warnings. The flashlight possesses a high level of IP68 protection, rendering it completely resistant to dust, small solid objects, full immersion in water (up to a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes), and a drop from a height of 1 meter.
